On May 25, 2018, the 4x800 men's track and field relay team from Indiana Wesleyan overcame the odds to not only qualify for finals but ultimately win the NAIA National Championship. Through adversity and near tragedy, the team saw the Lord's faithfulness and worshipped Him on the track through the sport they love.

A reflection from a member of the relay team...

"The challenges of a full track season are many. However, nothing comes close to the trial of 2018 and what our Indiana Wesleyan 4x800 relay team went through while at the NAIA National Championships in Gulf Shores, Alabama. This challenge would be impossible to overcome without the direct interaction, provision, and protection of Our Father in heaven through each event.

This story shows the relationship between sports and faith. Together they can be an extremely powerful force and serve as a reminder that there is so much more to life than athletic success. My brothers and I went through a challenge that could have shut down our weekend and season just before the biggest race of our lives. However, we turned to God, gave Him the situation, and watched as He worked in our lives in a miraculous way."
